Pinochle: terms of use
For the Pinochle iPhone and iPad app and the Pinochle website. Effective October 29, 2026.
Pinochle is a free card game made by Jacob Gruber for family and friends, now open to anyone. By playing you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app or the website.
Playing fair and kind
- No abuse. No harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, spam, or impersonation, in chat, in names, or anywhere else. There is no tolerance for it: we remove the content and the player, and may block them from playing.
- No cheating or interference. Don’t use bugs, scripts, or other tricks to get an unfair edge, disrupt tables, or overload the service.
- Keep yourself private. Don’t share your own or anyone else’s personal details at public tables.
- Report and block. You can report a chat message or a player and block anyone. We read reports within a day and act on them, including removing content and players.
Your content
You’re responsible for what you write: your name, chat and feedback. You let us store and show it to the players at your table so the game works, and keep it as our privacy policy describes.
Age
Pinochle has free-text chat and isn’t meant for children under 13.
The service
- Pinochle is free and provided as is. We try to keep it running and fair, but can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or that a game or score is never lost.
- We may change the game, these terms or the service, or stop offering it. If the terms change, we update this page and its date; playing after that means you accept the new terms.
- We may suspend or remove anyone who breaks these terms.
- As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or incidental losses from using Pinochle.
Apple
If you use the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple.
